hey well i need to use microsoft word for a essay and i am wondering how i can get it ?

like is there a way i can download it or something?

i have a microsoft office XP disc but when i put it in it installs and there is no microsoft word anything?

please help, anything i need it so bad!

if you want it ASAP, go to the nearest computer shop and but that MS OFFICE cd, or download a free trial on microsoft's website. BTW you can use the trial for 60 days.
Why don't you try OpenOffice Write? It's very similar to Microsoft Word and ... it's FREE.

Btw.: OpenOffice offers also the counterparts to Excel, Access, ...

And it is possible to save your files as .doc or .xls (readable by Microsoft Word, Excel,...)

IF you have an Office XP disk you have, Word, Excel, and a couple of others.

You are not selecting the correct options when Installing the office software. All of the Office packages include WORD.

As an alternative you can use a Program called OPEN OFFICE.ORG. It is free and compatible with WORD.
