Get OpenOffice instead. This award winning office suite is free and is compatible with MS and other office suites.
Microsoft offers a free, 60-day trial of Office at its website. You can download it there, but after 60 days, you have to pay for it.

Master J.
They are both part of the Microsoft Office Suite. You can buy MS Office, or you can buy Word and Powerpoint separately. There's a trial version available for free download from microsoft.com.
In order to use the Microsoft Office products, you have to buy Microsoft Office. 2007 is the newest version, although many people most commonly own 2003.
