While opening the microsoft word file. Another file is created by the name ~$ before the actual file name. YOu can't open the ~$ file as an error message appear. MICROSOFT OFFICE WORD NEEEDS A CONVERTER TO DISPLAY THIS FILE CORRECTLY. THIS FEATURES IS NOT CURRENTLY INSTALLED WOULD YOU LIKE TO INSTALL IT NOW? When I try to install another message appeared. ERROR 25090 OFFICE SETUP ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM WITH THE OFFICE SOURCE ENGINE, SYSTEM ERROR:-2147024891 PLEASE OPEN C:\PROGRAM FILES \ MICROSOFT OFFICE\OFFICE11\1033\SETUP.CHM AND LOOK FOR ''OFFICE SOURCE ENGINE'' FOR INFORMATION ON HOW TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

i TRIED AN STILL OT DOES NOT WORK. Please help , please help.

I wouldn't worry too much about this, if I were you.

It's a temp file created for an unsaved version of that document.

If you've seved that document already, delete this one.

Yeah, it's a normal function...

It sounds like you may have the 'show hidden files' option turned on. If so, open windows explorer from the start menu (not ie explorer) and click on tools/folder options/view and deselect show hidden files.
